The Honourable Mike Harris became the twenty-second Premier of Ontario following a landslide election victory in June 1995, and served
the people of Ontario until 2002.His plan-the Common Sense Revolution-struck a chord with people across the province who were tired of big government, wasteful spending, rising welfare rolls, and rising unemployment. In his first term as Premier of Ontario, he proved that he was not afraid to make tough choices needed to put Ontario back on track. Four years later the voters of Ontario re-elected Mike Harris, making him the first Ontario Premier in more than 30 years to form a second consecutive majority government.Mike Harris joined the Fraser Institute as a Senior Fellow in October 2002.

Tom Flanagan
Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Distinguished Fellow, School of Public Policy, University of Calgary
Tom Flanagan, Senior Fellow of the Fraser Institute, is Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Distinguished Fellow, at the School of
Public Policy, University of Calgary, and Chair, Aboriginal Futures, at the Frontier Centre for Public Policy. He received his B.A. from Notre Dame and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Duke University. He taught political science at the University of Calgary from 1968 until retirement in 2013. He is the author of many books and articles on topics such as Louis Riel and Metis history, aboriginal rights and land claims, Canadian political parties, political campaigning, and applications of game theory to politics. His books have won six prizes, including the Donner-Canadian Prize for best book of the year in Canadian public policy. He was elected to the Royal Society of Canada in 1996. Prof. Flanagan has also been a frequent expert witness in litigation over aboriginal and treaty land claims. In the political realm, he managed Stephen Harper's campaigns for leadership of the Canadian Alliance and the Conservative Party of Canada, the 2004 Conservative national campaign, and the 2012 Wildrose Alberta provincial campaign.

Vincent Geloso, Senior Fellow of the Fraser Institute, is an Assistant Professor of Economics at George Mason University and earned
his Ph.D. from the London School of Economics. Previously, he was assistant professor of economics at King's University College and Bates College. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Montreal.Professor Geloso specializes in the measurement of living standards today and in the distant past. He combines his specialization in economic history with a specialization in political economy in order to explain differences in living standards over time and space. His most recent articles have been published in Public Choice, Explorations in Economic History, European Review of Economic History, Contemporary Economic Policy and Southern Economic Journal. He has also authored opinion articles in the Journal de Montréal, Journal de Québec, National Post, Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Gazette, Le Devoir, La Presse, Le Soleil, and Huffington Post Québec.

Yanick Labrie
Senior Fellow, Fraser Institute
Yanick Labrie, Senior Fellow of the Fraser Institute, is a health economist and public-policy consultant living in Montreal. He currently
serves as an adjunct economist at HEC Montreal’s Healthcare Management Hub. Mr. Labrie’s career in health policy spans more than fifteen years. He has worked as an economist at the Montreal Economic Institute, the Center for Interuniversity Research and Analysis on Organizations (CIRANO), and was a lecturer at HEC Montréal’s Institute of Applied Economics. He authored or co-authored more than 40 research papers and studies related to health care and pharmaceutical policies. Many of his articles have appeared in the Globe and Mail, National Post, Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Gazette, La Presse, and Le Devoir, among other newspapers. He is frequently invited to participate in conferences and debates, and to comment on economic affairs in the media. He has been invited to give testimonies at numerous parliamentary commissions and working groups on a wide range of topics and in court cases as an expert witness. Yanick Labrie holds a master’s degree in economics from the Université de Montréal.
