F.L. (Ted) Morton is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Calgary. His books include The Charter Revolution and the Court Party which won the 2001 Donner Foundation runner-up prize for the best book on Canadian public policy, and Charter Politics (both with Rainer Knopff); Morgentaler v. Borowski: Abortion, the Charter and the Courts ; and Law Politics and the Judicial Process in Canada, 3d edition .
Ted is a frequent contributor to local and national newspapers. In 1998, he was elected one of Alberta's two Senators-in-waiting. In 2001, he worked in Ottawa as the Director of Policy and Research for the Office of the Official Opposition.
