Dara Hrytzak-Lieffers was a former Policy Analyst with The Fraser Institute's Centre for Energy Studies in Calgary, Alberta. She holds an M.A.(Merit) in International Conflict Analysis from the Brussels School of International Studies and a B.A.(Hon) in International Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to joining the Institute, she worked with the Energy Policy and Strategy Unit of the European Commission in Brussels; and most recently, as Energy Project Manager for the Prairie Policy Centre in Saskatoon, where she created and managed the Energy Strategy Saskatchewan project.
